%u201CEndings%u201D

I loved him beyond all reason,
but he was never there.
I never knew who he was
or who I was looking for,
but the emptiness was complete.
Always grasping,
never finding.
He came into my life once,
gentle, soft
loving
always concerned:
the gift of a feeling
that another person actually cared.
When two become one
and all other forces of nature
melt into mere annoyances.

I have looked for him
ever since,
but he is gone.
Gone beyond all hopes
of return.

What%u2019s left:
%u201CMy heart is breaking%u201D,
%u201CSomething inside of me died%u201D,
all the clichs that have
risen from the dead
plastic substance
that I thought that
they were.

Now I have only
poetry and memory
conspiring against me
torturing me
with their empty promises
for his return,
or at least to
be trapped on his shore
frozen in the love/pain of the past
staring out at the blank sea
of the future.

you can not be serious. I cant believe people are living such fictional lives.

I'm curious why using an online forum to share poetry or creative writing is 'living a fictional life'? We're creating content and using a tool that allows us to connect with other people.. in much the same way this blog and your website do.

Well, I'm guessing since you left a message here, Introspector, you read Christi's poem. So thanks!
I don't see a difference between writing poetry and sharing it in SL and doing the same thing on any Internet forrum? Its just people sharing their work with other people. Pretty simple actually.
