Our theme for poetry for Sunday, August 26 is poems about "Brad" and "Bread".  If you don't know anyone named Brad, make one up.

See you there!

Fergus' poem for "Brad and Bread"

Brad and bread
Brad and bread
Is there something
Dead in Brad and bread?
Where life goes
So does dough
Awaking Brad from
Sleep
To smell something
He never dreamed of:
Brad and Bread

No Bunnies for Angelina

The man who wore slippers was glad,
that Ang' did not pick him, but Brad.
"'Tis a good thing," he said,
with his mouth full of bread,
'cause Mic would throw stuff and be mad!

Let Them Eat Bread

If Brad likes spam on bread
instead
of marmalade or honey,
his partner, Jill, might still
think ill
of anything so funny.

But bred to spread
her bread
with jam, or something sweet and sticky,
she cannot see,
incredibly,
that she is being picky.

To dread the bread he's fed
in bed,
Brad best not be courageous,
or Jill's best will
might go from sweet
to something quite outrageous
